GovCMS Drupal websites

Morpht is a member of the Drupal Services Panel and is a leading provider of GovCMS sites to Federal government agencies. We are innovators on the platform and have dedicated ourselves to building solutions which deliver on the common needs of government sites and are continually improved.

Some history

Morpht has been a strong supporter of GovCMS throughout its inception and development. Some highlights include being:

  • Included on the Drupal Services Panel.
  • Announced as one of the first two suppliers added to the DXP Panel providing personalisation, recommendation and AI services.
  • Engaged by the Department of Finance to implement the UI Starter Kit theme and foundations for GovCMS 8.
  • Speaking at conferences and meetups about the features and capabilities of GovCMS.
  • Being entrusted by major government agencies to build sites and "white label" sites for easy site spin up.

The Australian Government Design System

Morpht has been a strong proponent of the Australian Government Design System (AuDS). When it was released we believed that it was a game changer. The combination of the design system with a platform such as GovCMS opened the way for a lot of advantages: efficiency and consistency. Adding in editor friendly components made it more flexible. This resulted in the development of Convivial for GovCMS, a starter site for GovCMS projects.

In 2021 it was announced by the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) that the Australian Government Design System would be no longer supported. The open source community has stepped up to continue this open source project under the name of GOLD. This will ensure the continuity of the design system for those wanting to use it.

Most recently CivicTheme has emerged as a theme which fill sthe gap left by the AuDS. Morpht has shifted Convivial for GovCMS to use CivicTheme as the foundation theme. We still do offer a Bootstrap 5 version of the starter site for clients wanting a less opinionated theme with more flexibility.

Working with Morpht

Morpht is able to bring its experience with GovCMS to new sites coming onto the platform. We have built over 30 sites for the platform and are able to leverage this knowhow for new builds. Convivial for GovCMS provides a starting point for your site. This means we do not need to reinvent the wheel and can focus on delivering to your needs in the most efficient way.
