The GreenWay is a bush corridor and a hub for community arts and groups, bushcare, walking and cycling, and is located in Sydney's Inner West.
When GreenWay first approached Morpht, it was for assistance with the hosting of their then vulnerable and dated Joomla web site. It soon became apparent, however, that they would need a better solution than their current one. It seemed only right that Morpht recommended Drupal 8, as they had been developing a platform in Drupal 8 for the past 12 months.
Some of the challenges we tackled in this project were:
- content migration from Joomla to Drupal 8
- navigating existing functionality within an unsupported Joomla CMS
The legacy web site was also not responsive across multiple devices and viewport sizes and needed to be modernised. With no design and styleguide available, our Drupal 8 platform was able to borrow a colour scheme from the legacy site and produce a modern-looking responsive site right out of the box.
The platform is extremely capable of content chunking, and bubbling up featured content on various pages as desired.
