The annual Splash Awards organised by the DrupalSouth steering committee and judged by an independent panel of experts, held the award ceremony on Wednesday 20 March 2024.
These awards are important to not only promote the amazing work being done in Drupal and Open Source, but to showcase the huge amount of talent and dedication within the Drupal community.
This year, the competition was tough with wonderful examples of Drupal sites across the various categories.
Morpht had three nominations in the awards for:
The National Office for Child Safety (NOCS) was nominated in the Design/UX and Government - Federal categories. Morpht was thrilled to receive runner up in the Design/UX category. We were even more excited to win the Government - Federal category which also followed with winning Best in Show!
In the short timeframe, Morpht was able to deliver all project requirements and uplift the Child Safety site in preparation for the campaign launch. The outcome was a fresh and contemporary site with depth, movement and engaging graphical elements which the site editors can update and manage themselves. The improvements to the site search, resources library and services directory have also improved how users find the information they are looking for that is relevant to their needs.
The other nomination was for The Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA) site in the Government - Federal category. Although we didn't walk away with a win for the site, The Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority’s requirement to publish reports on parliamentarian expenditure is essential to the transparency of the operation of government in Australia. Morpht was able to deliver a more usable, functional, performant and scalable website that met IPEA’s needs and timelines.
We would like to thank the DrupalSouth committee, Splash Awards organisers and judges and congratulations to all nominees and winners!
